Question: What should I do if I get the error 'Internet connection could not be found'?
Answer:
If you encounter a network error or a timeout, you may see the following dialogue box:
This dialogue box indicates that you are downloading through a Proxy Server*. To complete the download through the proxy, please follow these steps:
- Click on the "Advanced" button. The "Advanced Connection Settings" box will pop up:

- Increase your Timeout setting to 300 seconds.
- Type in your Proxy Server's HTTP address and Port Number. You can get this information from your System Administrator or by completing the following steps:
If using Internet Explorer:
- On your browser menu, open TOOLS:INTERNET OPTIONS:CONNECTIONS:LAN SETTINGS:
- The LAN settings will contain the Proxy server and Port number.
- Copy the proxy server and port number from the LAN Settings to the "Advanced Connection Setting window"
- Click on OK
- Resume the download
If using Netscape Navigator:- On your browser menu, open EDIT:PREFERENCES:ADVANCED:PROXIES
- Select the MANUAL PROXY CONFIGURATION VIEW
- Copy the proxy server and port number to the "Advanced Connection Setting window"
- Click on OK
- Resume the download
